About the Inventor:
Eugene Faulstich went to be with the Lord in 2006.  May his work and life continue to bless people in the years to come.

In every generation, it seems, there are those who have been endowed with the unique gift of creating helpful inventions for the welfare of many. Back in 1968, Eugene Faulstich structured an idea that gave his cable TV company in Iowa a better way of getting into the air. Eugene wouldn't need cumbersome extension ladders anymore, or have to look to expensive boom trucks for his aerial needs. Eugene designed and built the first Van Ladder®. It was a unique, practical, lightweight, and affordable aerial ladder. The Van Ladder® provided an all-electric way for the cable TV company to achieve a safe, low maintenance means to get into the air. The aerial ladder required no vehicle outriggers and mounted on any van or pickup.  Eugene covered the design with 11 domestic and foreign patents and went into production.

Van Ladder®, Inc. quickly became known world wide as "the best low cost system to meet the needs of the utility and service industries!" The patented "floating fulcrum" design on the Van Ladder® was a major breakthrough for Eugene Faulstich. With this concept, Van Ladder® aerial lifts required no interior reinforcement and no outriggers! It had reduced a two-man crew down to one! The orders started coming in! A rural electric co-op, a city electrical department, a local electrical contractor, CATV, telephone companies, tree trimmers, painters, and sign companies. In 1970 Van Ladder®, Inc. was in full production, and by 1978 it employed 70 people in a factory which was 40,000 sq. ft. They produced and sold over 4,000 units! Then Eugene Faulstich was called into full-time Christian ministry. He sold the company and started an Iowa-based research center for Biblical chronology called the "Chronology History-Research Institute."  Eugene wanted to contend for the truth of the historical Biblical record. Eugene and his associates launched a major computerized study to verify ancient Biblical dates. They found every date in the Bible is absolutely verifiably true and that these dates formed patterns which pointed to Jesus, giving witness to the fact that God had a plan in history.
