Smaller Vehicles
The Van Ladder is constructed primarily of high quality, 6000 series aluminum, which produces a strong, yet lightweight structure. At only 1200 - 1300 lbs, it is one of the lightest aerial lifts on the market and can be installed on vehicles as small as 1 ton. The ability to utilize smaller, affordable vehicles translates to excellent fuel economy and low vehicle costs.
Power Source
The Van Ladder is all electric and can be operated without the vehicle running! This means no fuel wasted at the jobsite. A 24V battery bank is installed in the vehicle, which powers the motors on the unit. Charging components then replenish the battery bank when the vehicle is turned on. Typically this is accomplished during the course of a normal work day while driving between jobsites. In the event that vehicle drive time is not sufficient to fully recharge the battery bank, an overnight charging system is available.
Vehicle Storage Space
Utilizing a unique gutter mount system, the Van Ladder can be installed on cargo vans without a bulky pedestal. This makes it possible to use the vehicle's cargo space to its full potential.
The Van Ladder can also be installed on many other vehicles including: pickup trucks, flatbed trucks, cube vans, etc. Frameworks have been developed to minimize any loss of storage space on these vehicles as well.
Durability
In an age when many products tend to be "disposable", the Van Ladder is uncompromising. Each new Van Ladder produced must meet rigorous quality standards and receives a 2 year factory warranty. Designed to withstand years of operational use in some of the harshest conditions, many times a Van Ladder will outlive the vehicle it was originally installed upon. As with all quality equipment, routine maintenance is essential to maximize product life. For this reason, much attention has been devoted to insure the unit is easy to maintain and repair if necessary.
Additional Benefits
Ground Level Bucket Entry - enter the bucket...load tools and equipment...all right from the ground. This feature was not available on our earlier models.
Continuous Rotation - through the use of a high quality electrical slip ring, each Van Ladder offers 360 degrees of rotational movement with no frustrating stop points.
Automatic Bucket Leveling - tilt sensors and a linear actuator are installed on the bucket of the Van Ladder. These insure the bucket automatically levels as the boom is being raised or lowered.
Auxiliary Ladder Rack - located below the Van Ladder rotation deck and capable of stowing typical extension and step ladders. (Standard when installed on most vehicles).
Lightweight Design to Maximize Vehicle Payload - approximately 2200 lbs left on a one ton van.
Usable Maximum Working Height - our bucket is still 5 feet over the side of the vehicle at maximum height. For a sign company, this means a lot.
Use All Three Functions at One Time - we have a motor for each function which makes this possible.
